Bees produce honeycomb in their hives. Composed of beeswax, the structure of the honeycomb consists of hexagonal cells used for the storage of honey.
The wax that makes up honeycomb contains a lot of fatty acids in the long chain, along with long-chain alcohols. Honey stored in the honeycomb is the purest, crudest form of honey, and the wax from which it is made has nutritional value and several health benefits, such as liver care, regulation of cholesterol levels.
